Portrait of Brittany Cates

Outgrowing something isn't proof you got it wrong.
It's proof you kept growing.

Sound familiar?

You keep changing the pieces, but the bigger picture still isn’t coming together.

You’ve built a business around something you care about. Along the way, you’ve gained experience, discovered new possibilities, and started thinking differently about the work you want to do.

But now something feels off.

Maybe you’ve been looking at what other entrepreneurs are doing, questioning whether you’re making the right decisions, or trying to make everything you’ve learned fit into your business.

And the more you try to figure it out, the harder it becomes to see what’s actually missing.

  • Your offers don’t quite reflect the work you want to do anymore. But you’re struggling to decide what stays and what changes.
  • You’ve updated your website or branding, but it still doesn’t feel like you. Something about the message or experience isn’t coming across the way you intended.
  • You have so many skills, ideas, and ways you could help people. But trying to communicate all of them makes it harder for someone to understand what you actually offer.
  • You’re putting time and energy into your business, but you’re not seeing the response you hoped for. And you’re beginning to wonder what you’re missing.

You don’t need to throw away everything you’ve built. But before making another change, it’s worth understanding what’s creating the disconnect in the first place.

Private Business Strategy + Implementation

The Business Evolution Experience

You’ll walk away with

  • A clear business decision
  • A focused implementation deliverable
  • A practical plan to move forward with greater purpose and confidence

Kind words

Sometimes it takes another perspective to see what you’ve been trying to put into words.

“I’m OBSESSED!

You captured something I’ve been circling for a long time but couldn’t quite see clearly until now. It truly feels like coming home to my work in a way that makes showing up feel more grounded.”

My approach

The right solution starts with understanding the real problem.

As a UX designer, I’ve learned that what appears to be the problem isn’t always what’s actually creating it.

Sometimes the disconnect is between the work you want to do and what your business is communicating. Other times, it’s how your offers, messaging, or client experience fit together.

That’s why I start by asking thoughtful questions, looking at the bigger picture, and understanding what matters most to you and the people you want to serve.

From there, we can make more intentional decisions about what needs to change and bring those decisions to life.

About Brittany

I see the pattern beneath the pieces.

I’ve always been drawn to figuring out how things work—and how to make them work better.

That curiosity has taken me from teaching and interior design to my work as a senior product designer, where I’ve spent years untangling complex problems, questioning assumptions, and designing experiences that make things simpler and more intuitive.

I’ve also experienced what it’s like to build a business, explore different directions, and realize that something you once wanted no longer fits.

Now I bring those experiences together to help women entrepreneurs see what they might be missing, make more intentional decisions, and build businesses that reflect where they’re going.

Because sometimes the most valuable thing someone can offer isn’t another idea. It’s a different way of seeing what you’ve already built.
